This painting is titled Building Bridges. It is a representation of the efforts of genealogy and family history work. As we take names to the temple we have this amazing opportunity to be apart of building bridges through Christ and welcome loved ones into the light of the gospel.
It is a simple representation of the spirit world. The left side of the painting is Spirit Prison. It is dark and shadowed. On the right is Spirit Paradise. It shows the light and joy of coming to Christ. The bridge is a representation of Christ and how the atonement and resurrection builds a way across from prison to paradise. I picked different shades of purple to represent royalty, and Christ as the Prince of Peace.
